AnchorPlanned ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website anchorplanned.com and the AnchorPlanned application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By accessing or using AnchorPlanned, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Name (if provided)
  • Authentication credentials managed through Supabase Auth

1.2 Google Search Console Data

When you connect your Google Search Console account via Google OAuth 2.0, we access and collect the following data from the Google Search Console API using thewebmasters.readonly scope:

  • Search performance data: queries (keywords), pages (URLs), clicks, impressions, click-through rate (CTR), and average position
  • Site list: the list of verified sites associated with your Google Search Console account
  • Historical search data: up to 16 months of search analytics data as made available by the Google Search Console API

We only request read-only access to your Google Search Console data. We do not modify, delete, or write any data to your Google Search Console account.

1.3 User-Generated Data

When you use the Service, we collect data you create within the application:

  • Projects and project configurations
  • Generated anchor text plans and settings
  • Plan customizations, locked entries, and manual adjustments

1.4 Usage and Technical Data

We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service:

  • Browser type and version
  • Device type
  • IP address
  • Pages visited within the Service
  • Timestamps of access

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide, maintain, and improve the AnchorPlanned Service. Specifically:

  • To provide core functionality: We use your Google Search Console data to score domain maturity, classify page intent, allocate link placements, generate anchor text plans, and perform risk analysis — the core features of AnchorPlanned.
  • To maintain your account: We use your email and authentication data to manage your account, provide login access, and communicate service-related updates.
  • To improve the Service: We use aggregated, non-identifying usage data to identify bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.
  • To provide customer support: We use your contact information to respond to your inquiries and support requests.

Use of Google User Data

Our use of Google Search Console data is strictly limited to providing and improving the user-facing features of AnchorPlanned. Specifically, we use Google user data to:

  • Score your domain's maturity level based on search performance signals
  • Classify your pages by intent (commercial, informational, navigational)
  • Generate data-driven anchor text plans with safe ratio calculations
  • Provide risk scoring and over-optimization alerts
  • Display search performance analytics within your AnchorPlanned dashboard

We do not use Google user data for any purpose other than providing or improving the AnchorPlanned Service.

In particular, we do not use Google user data for:

  • Advertising, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising
  • Selling or transferring data to third parties for advertising purposes
  • Determining creditworthiness or for lending purposes
  • Building user profiles for advertising or marketing unrelated to AnchorPlanned
  • Any other purpose unrelated to providing or improving the AnchorPlanned Service

3. How We Store Your Information

3.1 Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using the following infrastructure:

  • Database: PostgreSQL hosted on Supabase, with encryption at rest and in transit
  • Application hosting: Vercel, with HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Authentication: Managed by Supabase Auth with secure token handling

3.2 Google OAuth Tokens

When you connect Google Search Console, we store:

  • OAuth refresh tokens: encrypted and stored in our database to maintain your connection without requiring repeated authorization
  • OAuth access tokens: short-lived tokens used to fetch data from Google Search Console on your behalf

We do not store your Google account password. OAuth tokens are stored securely and are only used to access the Google Search Console API on your behalf.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

4.1 Retention Period

We retain your personal information and Google Search Console data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data: retained for the duration of your active account
  • Google Search Console data: retained for the duration of your active account to power ongoing plan generation and historical analysis
  • Generated plans: retained for the duration of your active account
  • Usage logs: retained for up to 12 months for service improvement and debugging

4.2 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@anchorplanned.com. Upon receiving a deletion request:

  • We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days
  • This includes all Google Search Console data, generated plans, project configurations, and OAuth tokens
  • We will revoke our access to your Google Search Console account
  • Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days after deletion, after which it is permanently destroyed

4.3 Disconnecting Google Search Console

You can disconnect your Google Search Console account at any time through the AnchorPlanned application settings. When you disconnect:

  • We delete all stored Google Search Console data associated with that connection
  • We revoke the stored OAuth tokens
  • Your AnchorPlanned account remains active, but features requiring Google Search Console data will be unavailable until you reconnect

You may also revoke AnchorPlanned's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

5.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information or Google user data to any third party.

5.2 Service Providers

We share data only with the following third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service:

  • Supabase: database hosting and authentication (processes account data and stored application data)
  • Vercel: application hosting and content delivery (processes technical/access data)
  • Google Search Console API: we send authenticated requests to retrieve your search data (governed by Google's own privacy policy)

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to provide their services to us and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Service before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • Encryption at rest for stored data
  • Secure OAuth 2.0 token management
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data (see Section 4.2)
  • Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your data
  • Revocation of consent: Withdraw consent for Google Search Console access at any time

8. Cookies and Tracking

AnchorPlanned uses essential cookies required for the Service to function, including:

  • Authentication cookies: to keep you logged in
  • Session cookies: to maintain your session state

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies that track you across other websites.

9. Children's Privacy

AnchorPlanned is a business-to-business (B2B) tool designed for SEO professionals and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@anchorplanned.com.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in locations outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction. We take steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.

11. Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

AnchorPlanned's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only use Google user data to provide and improve user-facing features of AnchorPlanned
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features, to comply with applicable laws, or as part of a merger/acquisition with adequate data protection
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have your affirmative consent, it is necessary for security purposes, to comply with law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized for internal operations

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Notify you via email or through a prominent notice within the Service
  • Where required by law, obtain your consent before applying changes to your data

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
